Continuous Monitoring for US Onshore Operators
Methane Gas Detection That Runs 24/7 at Every Wellsite
Well Checked uses long-wave infrared gas imaging, AI video, and acoustic sensing to spot true methane leaks day or night — and filter out the noise.
- Day and night LWIR optical gas imaging for methane and VOCs
- AI filters false alarms so you only chase real leaks
- Works at remote sites with little or no connectivity
200+ remote sites monitored, including a 220-site Appalachian Basin program.

Why operators choose continuous methane detection
See leaks, not false alarms
Zentinal Core compares video, infrared, and sound. It tells fugitive leaks apart from normal process emissions and alerts only on true events.
Replace quarterly LDAR snapshots
Continuous monitoring gives you a complete record instead of a periodic inspection report, so nothing goes unseen between surveys.
Act within 24 hours
Alerts hit the dashboard, email, text, and SCADA. Fast acknowledge, dispatch, and mitigate can minimize or eliminate EPA fines.
Defensible numbers for reporting
Zentinal IQ quantifies volume, duration, and rate after an event is validated — formatted for EPA, state inventories, OGMP 2.0, SASB, and TCFD.
Cut route costs and windshield time
Operators spending $1M-$5M+ a year on route-based site visits can move to operate by exception and keep crews off the road.
Built for rough, remote sites
Edge computing runs without constant network. Rugged hardware handles extreme temperature, vibration, and harsh air.
How the methane gas detection system works
Zensory.ai fuses three senses at the wellsite: sight from high-resolution AI cameras with 360° coverage, smell from Long-Wave Infrared optical gas imaging that sees methane and VOC plumes day or night, and sound from acoustic AI that flags abnormal equipment noise. All of it is processed on site by edge computing, then synced when the network is available.
In about two days, the AI learns what normal looks like at your site. After that, Zentinal Core alerts only on true anomalies, and Zentinal IQ quantifies the validated events so your compliance data holds up under review.
- Long-Wave Infrared OGI cameras: continuous methane and VOC detection at roughly one-third the cost of mid-wave IR systems
- 1500+ videos analyzed per site per day at production scale
- AI Site Learning sets a normal baseline in about 2 days per site
- Alert channels: Well Checked Dashboard, email, SMS/text, and read-only SCADA API
- Local storage with automatic network sync — no continuous connectivity required
- Zentinal IQ report formats: EPA compliance logs, state inventory formats, OGMP 2.0 Level 4/5, SASB and TCFD source data, CSV/JSON exports
- Patent held for detecting and quantifying fugitive methane and vapor emissions using infrared imaging and machine learning
- Purchase, lease, or subscription — pilot program available first
Proven in the field
“If all our sites are continuously monitored, when a Fugitive Gas Event occurs, which it will, we are proactively alerted and our team can acknowledge, dispatch, then mitigate within 24 hours. Rapid response to a timely methane survey event can minimize or eliminate EPA fines.”
What happens after you request pricing
Scoping call
We talk through site count, basin, equipment, and your EPA or ESG reporting needs.
Pilot or rollout plan
You get a proposal for a fixed-scope pilot or a full deployment, with purchase, lease, or subscription options.
Install and site learning
Our crews install and commission the hardware, then the AI learns your site baseline in about two days before alerting begins.
Frequently asked questions
How much does methane gas detection cost?
Pricing is available on request. It depends on site count, sensor mix, and how you want to own the system — purchase, lease, or subscription. A pilot program lets you evaluate before a full rollout.
Can this replace quarterly LDAR inspections?
The platform is built as a continuous alternative to periodic LDAR surveys. Detection event data is suitable as the evidentiary basis for EPA methane rule (40 CFR Part 60 Subpart OOOOb/OOOOc) alternative-monitoring applications. We can walk you through what your submission would need.
Will it flood my team with false alarms?
No. Zentinal Core learns your site's normal baseline in about two days and filters out routine process emissions, so alerts fire only on validated fugitive events. Alert-tuning services adjust sensitivity as sites change.
Does it work where we have no cell or network coverage?
Yes. Onsite edge computing processes and stores data locally, then syncs automatically when a connection is available. The system does not depend on continuous connectivity.
Which basins do you serve?
US continental onshore basins. We have confirmed deployments in the Appalachian Basin and are available in the Permian, Anadarko, Bakken, Eagle Ford, Denver-Julesburg, San Juan, and other producing regions. We do not serve offshore sites.
Can alerts reach our control room?
Yes. Alerts go to the Well Checked Dashboard, email, and SMS, and integrate with SCADA through a read-only published API that fits operator cybersecurity standards.
