Pump VFDs, drives and panels we supply
Most pump projects start with the Benshaw H2 Series. It covers 0.5 to 800 HP in 240V and 480V versions, with V/Hz and sensorless vector control, an LCD keypad and optional pump and fan application software. Water and wastewater, irrigation, HVAC and OEM pump skids are all common uses.
For larger pumps, Benshaw medium voltage drives use H-Bridge multi-level technology for low harmonic content and front-only access for service. If your application only needs a smooth start rather than speed control, we also supply soft starters and prewired pump panels.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a pump VFD cost?
Pricing is quote based, so there are no published prices. Send the motor HP, voltage and duty and we will price the right Benshaw drive for your pump.
What size pumps can you cover?
Benshaw H2 low voltage drives run 0.5 to 800 HP. For larger pumps, medium voltage MVH2 reaches 1,500 HP at 4,160V and the M2L Series covers 300 to 12,000 HP.
Can the drive meet IEEE 519 harmonic limits?
Yes. The H2 519 uses an 18-pulse design with phase-shifting transformer and the 519P uses a passive harmonic filter. Both are built for IEEE Std 519-2014 limits of 8% THDv and 5% TDDi.
Do you supply the pump or the motor as well?
No. We supply motor control only: variable frequency drives, soft starters, pump panels and custom control panels. Motors and pumps come from your supplier.
Will the drive connect to our SCADA or building system?
H2 Series drives include RS-485 communication with Modbus/RTU, BACnet and Metasys-N2 as standard, plus WinDRIVE PC software for commissioning and monitoring.
