HAWK signals, RRFBs and crosswalk safety equipment
A pedestrian hybrid beacon, often called a HAWK signal, stops traffic on demand at an uncontrolled crossing. TCC supplies HAWK beacon systems along with the rest of the hardware a crossing needs: pedestrian signals, APS push buttons, poles and bases, mounting hardware and the controller and cabinet behind it.
Not every crossing needs a HAWK. We also supply rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFBs), LED embedded crosswalk signs, in-roadway crosswalk lighting and LumiWalk overhead crosswalk illumination, so you can match the treatment to the site.

What does a pedestrian hybrid beacon cost?
All pricing is quoted per project. Cost depends on the beacon configuration, poles and mounting, power source, push buttons and any controller or cabinet work. Send us your crossing details and we will price it.
Do you sell HAWK signals and RRFBs, or just one?
Both. We supply HAWK (High-Intensity Activated Crosswalk) beacons, RRFBs, LED embedded crosswalk signs, in-roadway crosswalk lighting and LumiWalk overhead crosswalk illumination.

Can a crossing run without utility power?
Yes. Crossing beacon systems are available with AC power and battery backup or solar charging, so off-grid locations are possible. We will confirm the right setup for your site in the quote.
Can we monitor the beacons remotely?
Yes. Beacon systems can connect to the Applied Information Glance platform for remote scheduling, power monitoring and text or email alerts for lamp or power failures.
Do you install and service the equipment?
We offer installation, onsite troubleshooting, maintenance and service plans, plus product and systems training through our factory-trained field service staff.
Do you rent equipment or provide work zone flagging?
No. Products are sold for purchase only, and we do not provide temporary work zone traffic control services such as flagging crews or barricade rental.
