Pancake load cells for tension, compression and fatigue testing
A pancake load cell is a low profile disc that measures force in a tight space. Our universal shear web design holds deflection under 0.002 inch, so your fixture stays stiff and your readings stay repeatable. Bodies are SAE 4340 alloy steel with a satin nickel finish, and they resist bending and off-center loading with minimal crosstalk.
Fatigue rated models are guaranteed against fatigue failure for 100 million fully reversed cycles. That suits life cycle testing, hydraulic actuator loads and structural work where a general purpose cell gives out early. If no standard model fits, we design and build a custom cell for your application.

Can you build a custom capacity or mounting?
Yes. We design, engineer and manufacture custom force sensors in house for non-standard capacities and configurations. Tell us the application and an engineer will work it through with you.
Can these cells measure tension as well as compression?
Our universal shear web models are made for both load directions, and optional tension plates and spherical load buttons are available. Tell us how the load is applied and we will confirm the right setup.
What does fatigue rated mean?
Fatigue rated cells are guaranteed against fatigue failure for 100 million fully reversed cycles, which is why they hold up in component life cycle and test-to-failure work.
Do you calibrate and certify the load cell?
Yes. We calibrate in house and issue calibration certificates with traceable measurement data. Calibration with customer-supplied electronics is available for a fee, and recalibration service is offered later in the cell's life.
