EMI-RFI shielding plating and sputtering for molded enclosures
Shielding is a performance spec, not a look. We coat the inside of molded plastic enclosures with copper, stainless steel or aluminum so the assembly attenuates electromagnetic and radio frequency noise the same way on every build.
Parts go through pre-treatment, plating or sputtering, and custom masking that keeps contacts, threads and sealing faces clear. Tooling and masking are designed and built in our own shop, so a design change does not send you back to an outside vendor.

Frequently asked questions
Which plastics can you shield?
We shield ABS and engineering grades including Ultem, polycarbonate, nylon and LCP. For hard-to-coat substrates we use plasma treatment to promote adhesion without embrittling the part.
Do you plate or sputter for shielding?
Both. We run electroplating and PVD sputtering, including sputtered copper, stainless steel and aluminum. Which one we recommend depends on your part, your attenuation spec and your volume.
How is pricing worked out?
Pricing depends on the part, the coating, masking needs and your yearly volume. Send the drawing and spec and we will quote the program.
Is there a minimum volume?
We are comfortable with moderate volumes as well as super high volumes, and capacity runs past a million parts a week. Programs are usually set up as annual supply against a forecast, not one-off consumer jobs.
Can I get test documentation?
Yes. Our in-house lab controls all processes, testing protocols and certifications, which supports the documentation electronic, medical and hi-tech customers need during supplier qualification.
Where are you and who do you serve?
We finish parts in Pawtucket, Rhode Island and serve customers across the United States as a domestic source. We do not offshore the work.
