Providence Metallizing built what we believe is the most consistent and flexible plating-on-plastic line in the industry, producing over 30 different finishes. Nickel options include satin nickel, brushed nickel and electroless nickel, alongside chrome, gold, silver, white bronze, hematite, antique treatments, acid copper and brushed stainless.
Work divides into decorative plating and functional industrial plating that needs perfect adhesion and solderability. We serve electronic, medical, plumbing, hardware, cosmetic and food and beverage manufacturers with released designs and repeat build volumes.

We sample and qualify
Free sampling is available for most applications. We match your sample, then design any tooling and masking in-house.

Once the finish is approved, we hold it batch to batch across your program, with our own lab controlling the process.

How is nickel electroplating priced?
Pricing depends on the part, substrate, finish, masking needs and volume. Send those details and we will quote your specific job.
Do you take small or one-off jobs?
We are a contract manufacturer for businesses. We are comfortable with moderate volumes as well as super high volumes, but we do not do consumer one-off work, repairs or replating of personal items.
Can you plate engineered plastics, not just ABS?
Yes. We plate Ultem, nylon, LCP and polycarbonate, with plasma treatment for adhesion so parts keep the flex and springback of a freshly molded part.
Can plastic parts match our metal parts?
Yes. Any finish we produce on metal we can produce on plastic, so parts in the same assembly look identical. This is a common need in hardware, plumbing and fixture programs.
How fast can we move from sample to production?
Because tooling and masking are designed and built in-house, we move from sampling to production in half the normal lead times. We confirm dates once we see your part and volume.
Where do we ship parts and who do you serve?
We finish parts in Pawtucket, Rhode Island and serve customers across the United States. We are a domestic source, so no overseas shipping is involved.
