Gold PVD coating and gold finish options
Our PVD work uses magnetron sputtering, reactive arc and RF deposition. Available PVD coatings are Titanium Nitride (TiN), Zirconium Nitride (ZrN) and Titanium Carbo Nitride (TiCN), plus sputtered copper, stainless steel and aluminum. PVD programs are qualified against your wear, hardness or adhesion spec, then run at production volume.
If your part needs a gold look rather than a hard coating, we also plate gold on plastics and metals and metallize with a tinted UV topcoat. Send the part and the target finish, and our engineers will tell you which process fits best.

Our engineers choose the process, build tooling and masking in-house, and run a match sample. Sampling is free on most applications.
Approve, then produce
Once you sign off on the match sample, we move into production and hold that finish batch to batch.

What does gold PVD coating cost?
Pricing depends on the part size and shape, the substrate, the finish, the masking needed and your volume. Send your part details and we will quote your job.
Can I see a sample before I commit?
Yes. We offer free sampling on most applications. We qualify the finish against a submitted match sample, then hold it for the life of the program.
Is there a minimum volume?
We are comfortable with moderate volumes as well as super high volumes. Most work is set up as an annual program against forecast volumes, not a single one-off job.
Can you match our plastic parts to our metal parts?
Yes. Any finish we can produce on metal can be produced on plastic, so plastic and metal parts in the same assembly can be matched.
How fast can we get to production?
Because tooling and masking are designed and built in-house, we move from sampling to production in half the normal lead times. We will confirm a schedule with your quote.
Do you finish personal items or do repairs?
No. We are a contract production finisher. We do not take on one-off consumer work, restoration, refinishing or replating of personal jewelry.
