AFM systems, scanners and accessories
Molecular Imaging designs modular atomic force microscopes around a pendulum multipurpose scanner in a top-down layout. Open optical and video access lets you watch the sample and align the laser while you scan. The lightweight rigid mechanical loop keeps noise low.
You can start with the system you need today and add modes later. Nose cones, scanners, probes, liquid cells and sample stages are all interchangeable, so one instrument can serve many users in a shared facility.

How much does an atomic force microscope cost?
Pricing depends on the system, scanner range, nose cones, cells and accessories you choose. Pricing is available on request, so send us your application and we will quote your exact configuration.
Can I add modes later?
Yes. The systems are modular. Nose cones swap quickly for AFM, STM, MAC Mode, conductive AFM and SECM, and scanners and sample stages are interchangeable.
Do you support imaging in liquid?
Yes. We offer 1-inch, mini, PTFE, demountable, disposable PDMS bio, contact lens and fiber liquid cells, plus 9 mm and 18 mm flow-through cells for buffer exchange.
Do you sell probes and parts separately?
Yes. We run a web store for cantilevers, STM tips, liquid cells, sample plates, calibration standards and substrates. Our cantilevers work with all major brand AFM systems.
Do you service older Agilent or Molecular Imaging systems?
Yes. ZoomAFM provides diagnosis, repair, preventive maintenance, calibration, upgrades and remote online support for Agilent 5500 and 4500 AFM and STM systems.
