Why Buyers Send Titanium Work to M.A.R.'s

Tight tolerances on tough metal

Swiss-type CNC screw machining holds tolerances as close as ±0.0001 in, even on long, slender titanium parts.

One shop, start to finish

Turning, 4-axis milling, wire EDM, water jet, centerless grinding, plating and light assembly all happen in our building.

Prototype to production

Run a few pieces to prove the design, then scale to multi-spindle runs of 500 or more of the same part.

Quality you can trace

Parts are produced under an ISO 9001:2015 / AS9100 D compliant quality system with Mil-I-45208A compliance and full traceability.

Tooling made in-house

Our wire EDM makes custom tooling with next to no lead time and at very low cost, so your job keeps moving.

Built for demanding industries

We machine parts for aerospace, defense, medical, electronics, marine and industrial OEMs.

Titanium CNC Machining Capabilities

Titanium is strong, light and hard on tooling. It needs the right machine, the right speeds and a shop that has cut it before. M.A.R.'s Engineering has machined close-tolerance parts since 1964, and titanium is one of the materials we run every day alongside stainless steel, brass, bronze, aluminum, carbon steel, nickel alloys and engineering plastics.

Send us a print and a quantity. We will tell you which process fits best: CNC turning with live tooling and sub-spindle, 4-axis CNC milling, Swiss-type screw machining for miniature parts, or wire EDM for sharp internal corners and hardened material.

  • Swiss-type CNC screw machining for high length-to-diameter titanium parts, ±0.0001 in
  • CNC turning with live tooling and sub-spindle to finish complex parts in one setup
  • 4-axis CNC milling with part and table indexers for intricate geometry
  • Wire EDM for intricate outlines, sharp internal corners and hardened alloys
  • Water jet cutting to 62" x 62" for blanks, finished parts and prototypes with no heat distortion
  • Centerless grinding from 1/32" to 2-1/4" diameter, finishes to 4 µin and tolerances to .0001 in
  • Titanium shafts, pins, bushings, sleeves, fittings, connectors, flanges, couplings, fasteners and inserts
  • In-house finishing: passivation-friendly plating options, black oxide, polishing and tumble deburring

What Happens After You Submit

  1. Send your print and quantity

Share the drawing, the titanium grade you need and how many pieces. Tell us the tolerances that matter most.

  2. We review the part

Our team looks at geometry, material and volume, then picks the process mix that fits: turning, milling, Swiss, EDM or grinding.

  3. You get a quote

We come back with pricing and next steps. Approve it and we schedule the job, including any in-house finishing.

Frequently asked questions

Do you machine titanium in small quantities?

Yes. We handle prototype and low-volume work as well as production. Single-spindle screw machining suits runs of roughly 500 to 3,000 pieces, and multi-spindle is best for 500 or more.

How tight a tolerance can you hold on titanium?

Swiss-type CNC screw machining holds tolerances as close as ±0.0001 in. Centerless grinding holds diameters to .0001 in with finishes as fine as 4 µin.

Can you mill titanium as well as turn it?

Yes. We run 4-axis CNC milling with part and table indexers, plus CNC turning with live tooling and a sub-spindle so turned and milled features can be completed in one setup.

What does titanium CNC machining cost?

Pricing depends on part geometry, tolerances, titanium grade, finishing and quantity. Send your print and volume and we will quote your specific part.

Do you ship outside California?

Yes. We are a nationwide contract manufacturer for US OEMs, with our facility at 699 Montague Avenue, San Leandro, CA.

Can you finish or plate titanium parts too?

We offer in-house finishing and plating, including hard chrome, zinc, nickel, gold, black oxide and Teflon coating, plus polishing, powder coating and tumble deburring, so parts arrive ready to install.
