Why buyers choose our tool room

One team owns your tool

We design, build, trial and maintain dies, moulds, jigs and fixtures in house, so no one passes the problem along.

Proven before steel is cut

Every tool gets a DFM review and process simulation first. Defects are found on screen, not on the shop floor.

Tooling and parts together

After T0 and T1 trials we can run your parts on our own die casting, CNC machining, finishing and assembly lines.

Certified quality systems

IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001 certified, with APQP, PPAP and First Article Inspection Reports.

Tools that keep running

Preventive maintenance, tool repair, refurbishment and engineering change management keep your production steady.

Built for global buyers

We work with OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers in North America, the UK, Australia, Italy, Mexico, Vietnam and the Middle East.

What our tool room designs, builds and maintains

The Tool Room at Marcus Hi-Tech gives you full in-house control over dies, moulds, jigs and fixtures for die casting, forging and plastic injection moulding. Our team uses CAD/CAM integration, DFM review and process simulation before any tooling is machined.

Once the tool is built, we run T0 and T1 trials in-house to prove both the tool and the part. From there you can move straight into production with our die casting machines, 20+ CNC machining centres, surface finishing and assembly under one roof.

  • Die design and build for high-pressure, low pressure and gravity die casting
  • Mould making for plastic injection moulding and tooling for forging
  • Custom jigs and fixtures that locate castings from defined datums
  • CAD/CAM integration, DFM review and process simulation before machining
  • T0 and T1 trials in-house to validate tool and part performance
  • Preventive maintenance, tool repair, refurbishment and engineering change management
  • Rapid prototyping by CNC machining, 3D printing and vacuum casting
  • First Article Inspection Reports with APQP and PPAP validation

Frequently asked questions

How much does a die or mould cost?

Tooling is priced per project. Cost depends on part size, cavity count, geometry, the casting or moulding process and your yearly volume. Send your CAD and volumes and we will quote your tool.

Do you only build tooling, or can you make the parts too?

Both. Many customers use us for the tool and then for production. We run aluminium, zinc and magnesium die casting, CNC machining to plus/minus 0.005mm, surface finishing and assembly in house.

Can you repair or refurbish tooling we already own?

Yes. The tool room handles tool repair, refurbishment, preventive maintenance and engineering change management, along with new die and mould builds.

What are your tooling lead times?

Lead time depends on tool size, cavity count and complexity, so we confirm it with your quote. For sand and investment castings through our certified partner network, tooling lead times are 4 to 6 weeks.

Do you work with customers outside India?

Yes. We are an export-focused manufacturer based in Coimbatore, India, serving North America, the United Kingdom, Australia, Italy, Mexico, Vietnam and the Middle East, with partner facilities in India, Vietnam and China.

What quality documents do we get?

We work to IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001 with DFM, APQP, PPAP and First Article Inspection Reports. Inspection includes CMM metrology, OES, leak testing and air plug gauges.
