What gravity die casting at Marcus covers
Gravity die casting, also called permanent mould casting, fills a reusable steel die using gravity instead of injection pressure. It suits medium-volume runs and parts with thicker walls, and it leaves a dense, clean surface.
Marcus uses GDC for zinc alloy decorative hardware such as handles, knobs and architectural fittings, where the process gives the mirror-grade finish that PVD and chrome plating need. Machining, finishing and assembly then happen in the same plant.

Tooling, trials, production
We build the die in-house, run T0 and T1 trials, complete PPAP and FAIR, then move to machining, finishing and shipping.

How is gravity die casting priced?
Pricing depends on your part size, alloy, finish, machining content and yearly volume, plus one-time tooling. Send drawings and volumes and we will quote parts and tooling separately.
What is the minimum order?
Gravity die casting is a cost-efficient process for medium-volume runs. Tell us your yearly volume in the form and we will confirm if GDC or another casting route fits your part best.
Which materials do you gravity die cast?
We use gravity die casting mainly for zinc alloy decorative hardware. For aluminium we also offer high-pressure cold chamber casting from 60T to 2500T and low pressure die casting in A356 and A357.
Can you machine and finish the castings too?
Yes. We have over 20 in-house CNC centres and in-house finishing: PVD, chrome and nickel plating, anodising, powder coating, CED, polishing and deburring. You get a finished part from one supplier.
Do you build the tooling?
Yes. Our tool room designs and builds dies, moulds, jigs and fixtures in-house, with CAD/CAM, DFM review, simulation, T0/T1 trials, repair and refurbishment.
Do you export outside India?
Yes. We manufacture in Coimbatore, India with partner facilities in India, Vietnam and China, and supply customers in North America, the UK, Australia, Italy, Mexico, Vietnam and the Middle East.
