Carbon steel investment casting for auto parts
Marcus makes precision investment castings, also called lost wax castings, through certified partner foundries in its network. Materials cover carbon steel, duplex steel, copper alloys and super alloys, with parts up to 120 kg.
You do not stop at the raw casting. Marcus machines, finishes, inspects and assembles parts in house, then packs and labels them to your standard.
- Carbon steel, duplex steel, copper alloys and super alloys
- Investment cast parts up to 120 kg per piece
- Tooling lead times of 4 to 6 weeks with flexible capacity
- Machining from your 3D CAD on 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC centres
- Tolerances to plus/minus 0.005mm on critical mating faces
- Finishing: plating, powder coating, CED e-coat, shot blasting
- Heat treatment, including solution treatment and ageing
- Mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly of finished modules
Proof behind the parts
“The chrome finish on our door handles is mirror-perfect and holds up through 240-hour salt spray without a single blister. Marcus Hi-Tech's pretreatment process is clearly superior.”
“CED coating penetrates every blind hole in our underbody brackets. Consistent film thickness, consistent corrosion performance — we've moved all our zinc coating work to Marcus.”
“Speed was our priority. Their hot chamber machines pump out our lock housings faster than any supplier we've used before, and the tolerances hold up perfectly.”

Frequently asked questions
Do you make investment castings in carbon steel?
Yes. Our investment casting covers carbon steel, duplex steel, copper alloys and super alloys, with parts up to 120 kg. Work runs through certified partner foundries under our IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001 framework.
How do you price a casting?
Pricing depends on the part drawing, alloy, weight, yearly volume, and any machining or finishing you need. Send your files and volume and we will quote your part.
How long does tooling take?
Investment casting tooling lead times are 4 to 6 weeks, with flexible production capacity after that.
Can you machine and finish the castings too?
Yes. Marcus runs more than 20 in-house CNC centres, holding plus/minus 0.005mm on critical faces, plus in-house plating, powder coating, CED e-coat, shot blasting and heat treatment.
Do you supply outside India?
Yes. We manufacture in Coimbatore, India and supply customers in North America, the United Kingdom, Australia, Italy, Mexico, Vietnam, the Middle East and India.
