Damped and soft-close mechanisms control how a door, lid or panel moves through its closing arc. The engineering work is matching that damping to the real weight and motion of your part, then holding that feel across hundreds of thousands of cycles.
We do not sell standard hardware. Every damped hinge is engineered to your drawings, space envelope, materials and budget, then made in our Mansfield, Ohio plant.

Do you sell damped hinges from a catalog?
No. Every hinge and closure mechanism we make is custom engineered to a customer specification. We do not sell stock hardware or replacement parts to end users.
How is a damped hinge priced?
Pricing is quoted per program. It depends on design complexity, materials, tolerances, production volume and tooling needs. Send your requirement and we will quote it.
Is there a minimum order?
We do not apply catalog minimums. Programs run from about 5,000 units up to 5,000,000 or more per year, so both specialty and high-volume programs fit.
Can you match the feel of a part we already use?
Yes. We regularly take over production from discontinued or end-of-life suppliers, including tooling transfer, first-article inspection and validation against the original specification, while keeping form, fit and function.
Do you test before production?
Yes. We build prototypes in-house and run cycle-life, force and torque, environmental and hold-at-angle testing before tooling is qualified for production.
