Three carton sealing tapes, one supplier
Most packing tape problems come from using the wrong grade. A 2.0 mil tape is plenty for light and medium cartons. A 50-65 lb carton going across the country needs a 2.8 mil heavy duty tape. We stock all three STA Supreme grades so you can match the tape to the box.
Every grade uses 100% Dow acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive. Acrylic stays clear and does not yellow or oxidize the way rubber and hot-melt adhesives do, which matters when tape sits in inventory or on a carton for months.

Which tape should I use for heavy boxes?
The STA 1352 Supreme is a 2.8 mil industrial heavy duty tape with 28 lbs/in tensile strength, built for cartons in the 50-65 lb weight class and for industrial shipping.

Will the tape hold in a freezer or outdoors?
The 1352 Supreme has a -20F to 200F operating range with excellent UV resistance. The 1382 Silent Supreme runs -10F to 200F. Apply tape between 32F and 140F for best bond.
