How the GridGenius power plant controller works
The GridGenius Energy Management Control System (EMCS) is the heart of the microgrid. It is built on power electronics and control software instead of engine-based control, so it can set the plant to run grid-forming or grid-following, islanded or grid-tied, and switch sources to hold voltage and frequency at utility-grade specifications.
The GridGenius Energy Center handles power management, control and conversion, while PowerView gives you remote monitoring and performance optimization for one site. FleetGenius does the same across many sites, with software upgrades and 24/7 support from Innovus experts.

What plant sizes can the controller handle?
Size nodes run from 250kW to 200+MW in 250kW increments, and multiple GridGenius systems parallel automatically, so the plant can grow as your load grows.
Can our utility dispatch the plant?
Yes. When specified to be dispatchable, the system can be integrated and controlled by utility power management systems, and it supports demand response and distributed generation applications.
Do you rent or lease systems?
No. GridGenius systems are sold for purchase only. Financing for microgrid projects is available through our development partners.
