Metal fabrication capabilities under one roof
IMTS is a custom metal fabrication and precision machining job shop in Marathon, NY. We work to customer drawings for medical, industrial, automotive, logistics and electronics manufacturers across Central New York and beyond.
Because the cutting, machining, forming, welding, finishing and inspection all happen in our shop, your part moves from raw material to finished component without leaving the building.
- Fiber laser cutting: 3kW Bescutter 510 with a 5' x 10' bed, sheet and plate up to 3/4 inch
- Water jet cutting: Omax Maxium 1530 cuts cold, with no heat distortion, for thick or heat-sensitive material
- CNC milling and turning: Haas machining centers plus Haas and Mori Seiki lathes with live tooling, sub-spindles and bar feed
- Press brake forming on Amada and US Industrial Machinery brakes for brackets, frames and enclosures
- Saw cutting of bar stock, tubing and structural material on Hyd-Mech, Marvel and Cosen saws
- MIG, TIG and spot welding for weldments, frames and structural assemblies
- Media blasting and powder coating with a large-capacity cure oven
- Dimensional inspection and full CMM reports with Keyence and Starrett equipment

How do you price custom metal fabrication?
Price depends on your drawings: the material, the processes needed, tolerances, finish and quantity. There is no set price list. Send your prints and quantity and we will quote the job.
Do you have a minimum order?
We handle prototype work through low-to-medium volume production, plus repeat runs. Tell us your quantity in the form and we will confirm what makes sense for your job.
Can you fabricate stainless steel parts?
Our fiber laser cuts sheet and plate up to 3/4 inch, and our water jet cuts cold so there is no heat distortion on sensitive material. Send the alloy, thickness and drawing and we will confirm the best process.
Do I need to supply drawings?
Yes. We build custom parts and assemblies to customer drawings and specifications. Include material, finish and tolerance callouts so the quote is accurate.
Where do you deliver?
We are at 20 Front St, Marathon, NY and use our own 16' box truck for pickup and delivery around Central and Upstate New York, including Cortland, Binghamton, Syracuse and Ithaca. We also ship fabricated parts nationwide in the US.
Can you finish and inspect the parts too?
Yes. Media blasting and powder coating are done in house, and we provide dimensional inspection with full CMM reports using Keyence and Starrett equipment.
