Frequently asked questions
How much does air sealing cost?
It depends on the size of your home, how many leaks there are and how hard they are to reach. We look at the home first, then give you a written price so there are no surprises.
How do you find air leaks I can't see?
With a home energy audit. A blower door fan depressurizes the house so air is pulled in through the leaks, and a thermal camera lets us pinpoint the drafts and cold spots.
Which areas do you serve?
We work with homeowners in Northern Utah, including the Salt Lake City region and surrounding northern Utah communities. We do not work outside Utah.
Will air sealing fix my hot and cold rooms by itself?
Often it helps a lot, but uneven rooms can also come from thin attic insulation or leaky ducts. Our assessment tells you which fix will make the biggest difference in your home.
Do you seal ductwork too?
Yes. We offer Aeroseal duct sealing. A water-based sealant is aerosolized into tiny particles and blown through pressurized ducts to seal leaks from the inside, bridging gaps up to 5/8 of an inch. It is non-toxic, non-flammable and low-VOC.
Can you do insulation and windows at the same time?
Yes. Greenify also installs attic, wall and crawlspace insulation, radiant barriers, Low-E replacement windows and solar attic fans, so one team can handle the whole plan.
