Big Blue filter housing specs and options
Big Blue housings from Pentek/Pentair use a reinforced polypropylene sump built for 4.5-inch diameter cartridges. The larger sump holds more media than a slim line housing, so you get more flow and longer runs between changeouts. Big Clear versions use the same design with a see-through sump.
Filter Process & Supply also carries the rest of the Pentek plastic housing line and our own FLD Series stainless steel housing for 4-1/2" Big Blue style cartridges, if you need metal instead of plastic. Pricing is quote based, so you only pay for the build you need.

Can I see the cartridge without opening the housing?
Yes. Big Clear versions use a clear sump so you can inspect cartridge condition and flow on site. Clear sump options are available across several series.
Do you have a stainless steel option instead of plastic?
Yes. Our FLD Series single cartridge housing is 304L or 316L stainless steel and accepts 4-1/2" Big Blue style cartridges, with a ring nut closure and spring loaded knife edge seal.
