Why medical device teams work with EVOK
One partner, start to finish
Part design, mold flow analysis, tooling, trials and production all run through the same team.
Tolerances you can defend
We negotiate tolerances with you and report Cp and Cpk so you know the process before it is locked down.
Costs on the table
We are upfront with cost structure per part, so you can help shape a design that molds for less.
Medical device experience
Our founder served as a senior engineer at Boston Scientific and holds four US utility patents.
See the part before tooling
Cosmetic or functional rapid prototypes run $100 to $500 per prototype, so design risk drops early.
US-based engineering
We serve customers nationwide, with the engineering team in the Twin Cities, Minnesota area.
What medical injection molding with EVOK includes
Medical parts leave no room for guesswork. We review your 3D file for moldability, adjust wall thickness, gating and venting, and flag anything that could cause sink or flash before steel is cut.
From there we build the tooling, run trials, evaluate T1 samples and complete first article qualification. Then we move you into high-volume production with part pricing itemized line by line.
- CAD and part design in SOLIDWORKS at $110 per hour
- Rapid prototypes from $100 to $500 per prototype for structural or cosmetic checks
- Single cavity prototype tooling before production tooling
- Mold flow analysis and tolerance stack analysis
- Material and texture selection guidance for your application
- Molding trial reports covering fill speed, knit lines, zone temps and cycle time
- First article inspection: 30 points per critical dimension, 5 per non-critical, per cavity
- High-volume production with cost-reduced part pricing

Send your 3D file or a description. An engineer looks at moldability, material and volume needs.
We scope the work
You get a clear plan covering design, prototyping, tooling and production, with costs itemized.
We build and qualify
We run trials, evaluate T1 samples and complete first article inspection before production starts.
Frequently asked questions
Do you handle design as well as molding?
Yes. We can start from your own 3D file or model from scratch. Engineering and part design is billed at $110 per hour, and we redline the changes that improve moldability.
How is part pricing set?
Pricing depends on the part, material, cycle time and volume. We itemize the cost structure so you can see what drives each cent, and we share it upfront so you can help optimize the design.
Can we prototype first?
Yes. Rapid prototypes run $100 to $500 per prototype depending on size and system, and we also build single cavity prototype tooling before committing to production tools.
How do you prove the parts meet spec?
Through molding trial reports and first article qualification. Critical dimensions carry 30 inspection points per cavity and non-critical dimensions carry 5. Cp and Cpk data shows process variation before lockdown.
Do you serve customers outside Minnesota?
Yes. We work with customers across the United States. Our engineering team is based in the Twin Cities, Minnesota area.
What if our tolerances are tight?
We work hand in hand with you to negotiate tolerances and explain what is realistically achievable with molded parts, then provide data on any tool modifications needed.
