Why OEMs bring their parts to EVOK
One team, start to finish
Part design, mold design, trials, first article and production all run through the same engineers.
Costs you can see
We itemize the cost structure of your part so you can help drive the price down with us.
Molding problems solved early
Mold flow and tolerance analysis catch sink, flash, gating and venting issues before you cut steel.
Prove it before you tool
Cosmetic or functional prototypes and single cavity tooling let you test the design first.
Quality you can measure
Critical dimensions get 30 inspection points per cavity, non-critical get 5, with Cp and Cpk data.
Built for real industries
Work spans powersports, medical device, semiconductor, consumer products and packaging.
What custom injection molding with EVOK includes
Start with your own 3D file or with nothing at all. Our engineers model, review and redline the part for moldability, then document how each change helps the part mold better and cost less.
From there we handle mold design, molding trials, first article qualification and high volume production. The goal is a low-cost production tool with a short cycle time that still meets your performance and cosmetic needs.
- CAD and part design engineering at $110 per hour, SOLIDWORKS preferred
- Rapid prototypes from $100 to $500 each, cosmetic or functional
- Design for manufacturability review of your 3D file
- Wall thickness, gate sizing, vent sizing and location changes to reduce sink and flash
- Mold flow analysis and tolerance stack analysis
- Single cavity prototype tooling, then production tooling
- Molding trial reports: T1 samples show about 90% of how the part will mold
- Material and texture selection guidance
- Compliant mechanism design and dematerialization through Hinj with Studio Weber and Associates

Frequently asked questions
How is custom injection molding priced?
Tooling and part price depend on part size, geometry, material, cavitation and volume. Engineering and part design is $110 per hour and prototypes run $100 to $500 each. We itemize the cost structure of your part so you can see what drives the price.
Do I need a finished CAD file to start?
No. We can start from your own 3D file or model the part from scratch. If you have a file, we review it, implement changes for moldability and redline how each change helps.
Can I test the design before buying production tooling?
Yes. We offer cosmetic and functional rapid prototypes and single cavity prototype tooling so you can validate structure and appearance first.
How do you make sure the parts meet spec?
We run molding trials and review T1 samples, which show about 90% of how the part will mold. First article inspection covers 30 points per cavity on critical dimensions and 5 on non-critical, with Cp and Cpk data on process variation.
Do you work with companies outside Minnesota?
Yes. We serve customers across the United States. Our engineering team is based in the Twin Cities, Minnesota area.
What industries do you serve?
Powersports, medical device, semiconductor and flat panel, consumer products, packaging, marine and other OEMs.
