PalmClock pairs the Fujitsu PalmSecure F-Pro palm vein scanner with ePortID software. An employee holds a hand above the sensor, near-infrared light reads the vein pattern beneath the skin, and the punch is recorded. The reader also checks for liveness, so photos and replicas do not work.
