What the palm vein scanner does and where it goes
ePortID builds complete systems around the Fujitsu PalmSecure F-Pro sensor. We add the door control unit, RFID reader, LED feedback lights and software so the scanner does a real job at your door, time clock or desktop.
The sensor measures 29mm x 29mm x 13mm. Enrollment takes about 15 seconds per hand and each verification runs in under 2 seconds. Records can be loaded from an Excel or CSV file.

How much does a palm vein scanner cost?
Most systems are quoted after we learn your door count, user count and integration needs. The one fixed-price item is the California BAR Bundle kit, listed at $432.00 plus CA sales tax and shipping. Volume pricing is available for larger quantities.
Will it work with the access control we already have?
Yes. The system interfaces with existing access control using Wiegand or OSDP and can power electric strikes or mag-locks. It can also replace RFID cards or bring your current cards into the ePortID system.
How is palm vein better than a fingerprint reader?
The scan is contactless, so it still reads dirty, wet, calloused or gloved hands, and there is no shared touch surface. The vein pattern sits beneath the skin, so it cannot be photographed or copied.
How long does enrollment take?
About 15 seconds per hand. After that, each verification takes under 2 seconds.
Do we need an electrician to install it?
The Door Control Unit uses Power over Ethernet, so power and data run over one network cable and a licensed electrician is not required. We also offer installation and integration services.
