What goes on and behind the door
The reader is the Fujitsu PalmSecure F-Pro sensor, just 29mm x 29mm x 13mm. It builds an identity from 5 million vein points, a pattern shared by no one else, not even identical twins. Enrollment takes about 15 seconds per hand and records can be uploaded from Excel or CSV.
Behind the door, the ThinLabs Door Control Unit handles power, data and the 12V relay that fires your strike or mag-lock. Add an ELATEC RFID reader or a PIN for two- or three-part authentication, and BlinkStick LED lights so users see a clear yes or no.

How much does a palm vein door lock cost?
Pricing is available on request. Cost depends on how many doors you secure and what hardware each opening needs, such as the Door Control Unit, RFID reader or LED feedback lights. Send us your door count and we will quote it.
Will it work with my existing access control?
Yes. ePortPass interfaces with existing access control systems using Wiegand or OSDP, and it can power electric strikes or mag-locks directly through the 12V relay in the Door Control Unit.
Do I need an electrician to install it?
No licensed electrician is required. The ThinLabs Door Control Unit is a PoE device that carries power and data over one network cable up to 100 meters from the PoE source.
Can we keep our RFID cards?
Yes. Cards can be replaced or integrated into the ePortID system. You can run palm vein alone, or combine palm vein with an RFID card and a PIN for two- or three-part authentication.
Does it work outdoors or on gates?
Units attach to doors, turnstiles, gates and vehicle gates, and the hardware is rated from -25°C to +80°C (-13°F to +176°F). Tell us the opening and we will confirm the right setup.
