How ePortPass works with turnstiles and gates
ePortPass pairs the Fujitsu PalmSecure F-Pro scanner with our door control unit, RFID reader and LED feedback lights. Units attach to doors, turnstiles, gates and vehicle gates. The scanner reads the vein pattern in the hand and sends the release signal to your controller.
You can run palm vein on its own or add a card and a PIN for two- or three-part authentication. Existing RFID cards can be replaced or pulled into the ePortID system, so you decide how strict each entry point should be.

Will this work with the turnstiles we already have?
In most cases, yes. ePortPass interfaces with existing access control systems using Wiegand or OSDP, and generates a Wiegand signal in any bit format to your gate or turnstile controller. Send us your controller details and we will confirm.
What does a biometric turnstile system cost?
Pricing is available on request because it depends on the number of readers, door control units, card readers and integration work. Tell us your entry points and we will send a quote.
Can people share or fake credentials?
No. The identity comes from the vein pattern beneath the skin, made from 5 million points that no one else shares, not even identical twins. The scanner checks for liveness, so a photo or replica will not pass.
Do users have to touch the reader?
No. Scanning is contactless. Users hold a hand above the reader and low infrared light reads the vein pattern in under 2 seconds.
Can we add a card or PIN as a second check?
Yes. You can run one, two or three-part authentication combining palm vein, an RFID card and a PIN. Existing cards can be replaced or integrated into the ePortID system.
