Every door is different. We quote the reader, door control unit and any card reader each opening needs, so you see where the money goes.
Lower install cost
Each unit runs on Power over Ethernet, up to 100 meters from the power source. No licensed electrician is required, which keeps labor down.
Keep your existing system
Our readers interface with your current access control through Wiegand or OSDP and can power electric strikes or mag-locks.

What goes into the cost of each door
There is no single price per door because every opening needs a different mix of parts. A back office door may only need a palm vein reader and a door control unit. A vehicle gate or a vault may need a card reader and PIN as well. Once we know your doors, we can put real numbers against them.

What is the cost per door for a palm vein access control system?
Pricing is available on request because each opening needs a different mix of scanner, door control unit, RFID reader and strike or mag-lock control. Send us your door count and we will quote each one.
Do I have to replace my existing access control system?
No. The readers interface with existing access control systems using Wiegand or OSDP, and can also power electric strikes or mag-locks directly.
What are the installation costs like?
Each door control unit is powered by PoE over a single network cable, up to 100 meters from the power source. It does not require a licensed electrician to install, which keeps deployment flexible.
Is there a minimum number of doors?
No minimum is stated. We quote single openings and large multi-site rollouts. Volume pricing is available on larger quantities — ask us when you request your quote.
Can I use my existing RFID cards?
Yes. Existing cards can be replaced or integrated into the ePortID system. The ELATEC TWN4 MultiTech reader supports MIFARE, LEGIC, NTAG and other common card types.
Do you install outside Pennsylvania?
Yes. ePortID is based in Philadelphia, PA and serves customers across the United States. Installation, integration and technical support services are available.
