Process & Vibration Monitoring Since 1998
CNC Machine Monitoring Software for Your Shop Floor
See vibration, force and process data in real time. iMonitor runs on NI hardware, and our engineers build custom monitoring around your machines.
- Real-time vibration and process data with iMonitor software
- Runs on National Instruments hardware we have used since 1998
- Custom systems that link to your PLCs, sensors and databases
NI Partner Network member since 2000. Work includes Timken, 3M, Kodak and ORNL.

Why shops and labs pick Controlink
Real data while the job runs
iMonitor collects measurements in real time and shows both time and frequency views, so you see what your process is actually doing.
Vibration and modal analysis included
Choose iMonitor DAQ for voltage, VIBS for accelerometer work, or LAB & MODAL for frequency response measurements.
Screens your people can actually use
We build clear, user-friendly HMI interfaces. That cuts training time and keeps operators focused on making parts.
Built on National Instruments hardware
We have supplied NI software and hardware since 1998 and have been in the NI Partner Network since 2000.
We link to the systems you have
We routinely interface with SQL databases, PLCs and motion controllers using CAN, UDS, Modbus, Serial, Profinet and EtherCAT.
Made by people who know machining
Controlink Systems combines machining expertise with process monitoring, control and DNC software. Our software runs day after day in real shops.
What CNC machine monitoring looks like here
iMonitor is our software package for measuring and analyzing processes and dynamic measurements using NI hardware. It handles real-time data collection and combines time and frequency domain analysis for vibration work, process monitoring and modal testing. iMonitor requires additional NI hardware and comes in options so you only pay for what you need.
When an off-the-shelf package is not enough, our engineering team builds it. We develop software for process monitoring, machine control, end-of-line testing, data acquisition and motion control, and we handle sensor selection, integration and calibration along the way.
- iMonitor DAQ: real-time voltage measurements
- iMonitor VIBS: real-time voltage and accelerometer measurements
- iMonitor LAB & MODAL: real-time frequency response measurements
- Sensor selection, design, integration and calibration
- Non-contact gauging for part identification and measurement
- Signal conditioning and complex signal analysis
- Data acquisition computers and hardware
- Relational and SQL database development for manufacturing data
- Machine Link QUICK Serve monitors up to 3, 20 or 64 CNC machines for remote file requests
Trusted in shops and labs since 1998
“Our daily activities in the Machine Shop have definitely become more manageable since installing Machine Link™. Machine Link™ has helped us to improve accuracy of records along with increased machine utilization. The bottom line is to say that we have overcome some big, big obstacles in our day to day shop operation. Machine uptime is better, along with the improvements in controlling the process. Thanks again for your interest and support in this project.”
What happens after you submit
You send the details
Tell us your machines, the signals you want to watch and what problem you are trying to solve.
An engineer reviews it
We go over your setup, the sensors and NI hardware involved, and which iMonitor option or custom build fits.
You get a quote
We send pricing and a clear plan so you can compare it against how you work today.
Frequently asked questions
How much does CNC machine monitoring cost?
iMonitor pricing depends on the option you need and the NI hardware involved, so we quote it. Our shop-floor products have set prices, such as Machine Link at $195 and Machine Link QUICK Serve at $1,700. Send us your details and we will price your setup.
Do I need extra hardware?
Yes. iMonitor requires additional National Instruments hardware. We can help with sensor selection, design, integration and calibration, plus data acquisition computers and signal conditioning.
Can you connect to our PLCs and databases?
Yes. We routinely interface with SQL databases, PLC hardware, and single and multi-axis motion controllers, using protocols such as CAN, UDS, Modbus, Serial, Profinet and EtherCAT.
What if we need something custom?
That is our core work. We develop custom software for process monitoring, machine control, end-of-line testing, data acquisition and motion control, with user-friendly HMI screens built for the shop floor.
Do you also handle CNC file transfer?
Yes. Our Machine Link family moves CNC programs over RS-232 serial, and Machine Link QUICK Serve continuously watches machines for remote file requests. QUICK Serve versions can be evaluated free for 45 days.
Where do you work?
We serve manufacturers across the United States. Our office is at 24545 Lela Dr., Lawrenceburg, IN 47025, open Monday to Friday, 9AM to 5PM.
