What goes into your island countertop
An island is usually the biggest single piece of stone in your kitchen, so material, seam placement and edge profile all matter. Our designers plan the layout with you, then our shop cuts the slab to fit your exact island.
You can match the island to your perimeter counters or make it the focal point with a bolder stone. We also fabricate matching backsplashes and other surfaces from the same material.

How much does a kitchen island countertop cost?
Price depends on the material, brand and size you choose. Countertops are grouped into price tiers A through H. Send your details and we will put together a free quote for your island.
Granite or quartz for an island?
Both work well. Granite is natural stone, with 70+ colors in the Sensa collection and a 15-year transferable stain-resistance warranty. Quartz is engineered and non-porous. Your designer can show both side by side in the showroom.
Do you measure and install, or just sell the stone?
We do it all. A professional template technician digitally measures your space, we fabricate the top in our own facility, and our trained installers set it.
Where do you work?
We serve the Midwest from showrooms in Omaha and Lincoln NE, Des Moines and Cedar Rapids IA, and Kansas City. We do not sell countertops outside that service area.
Can I use a remnant for a small island or vanity?
Yes. Our Virtual Countertop Outlet sells leftover slab pieces that suit smaller areas. Pricing includes digital template, fabrication and installation, with a $250 minimum installation fee.
How long will my project take?
Timing depends on the material you pick and the size of your project. Your designer confirms the schedule when you approve the quote.
