Heat Exchanger Coating & Restoration

Heat Exchanger Repair and Coating Across New England & NY

We clean, rebuild and coat corroded tube sheets, water boxes and internal surfaces on site — a lower-cost route than replacing the exchanger.

  • Repair pitted tube sheets, water boxes and internals on site
  • 100% solids epoxy over a white-metal blasted surface
  • Shell-and-tube, plate and brazed-plate units served

Over 40 years of management team experience. On site in MA, NH, CT, RI, ME, VT and NY.

Repair and coat instead of replace

Keep the unit you already own

Coating-based restoration is a cost-effective alternative to replacing a heat exchanger. We rebuild corroded metal and protect it.

Stops the corrosion cycle

The 100% solids epoxy adds a non-conductive barrier that helps prevent galvanic, pitting and crevice corrosion in water-side service.

Minimal downtime

Quick-cure technology means the work fits planned outage windows instead of stretching them out.

Prep done to white metal

Contained abrasive blasting to a white metal finish (SSPC-SP 5 / NACE No. 1) gives the coating a surface it can truly bond to.

Runs cleaner and smoother

Smooth coated surfaces reduce fouling and turbulence, help thermal conductivity and extend the service life of the equipment.

One contractor, seven states

On-site service across MA, NH, CT, RI, ME, VT and NY, from our base in Franklin, New Hampshire.

What our heat exchanger repair covers

Heat exchanger internals face the same water chemistry that eats chiller tube sheets: scale, biofilm, dissolved oxygen and electrolytic activity. The result is pitting, fouling, lost capacity and leaks.

Our three-step process handles it on site. Deep cleaning removes biofilm, scale and corrosion deposits. Contained abrasive blasting takes accessible surfaces to a white metal finish, and badly corroded areas are reconstructed. Then the 100% solids protective coating goes on tube sheets, water boxes and accessible internal surfaces.

  • Shell-and-tube, plate and brazed-plate heat exchangers
  • Tube sheet coating plus reconstruction of corroded areas
  • Water box and end bell cleaning, repair and coating
  • Tube end erosion and cavitation repair at the inlet side
  • Chiller condenser and evaporator sections
  • Power plant condensers and bundles during outage windows
  • Contained abrasive blasting to white metal, or water blasting where dry abrasive is ruled out
  • Push-out strength gains of over 1,000 pounds in some cases

What our heat exchanger repair covers

How the estimate works

  1. Send your details

Tell us the equipment type, site location and what your last inspection found.

  2. Free on-site inspection

We come out and assess corrosion depth, joint condition, water box scope and access.

  3. Project-based estimate

You get pricing for the full scope and we schedule the work around your outage window.

Frequently asked questions

How much does heat exchanger repair cost?

Pricing is project-based. We give a free estimate after an on-site inspection because cost depends on unit size, surface condition, how much corrosion repair is needed, water box scope and access constraints.

Do you replace tubes or retube the bundle?

No. We are a coatings and surface restoration contractor. We clean, rebuild and coat tube sheets, tube ends, water boxes and accessible internal surfaces. Tube bundle retubing and tube replacement are outside our scope.

Can coating really replace a new heat exchanger?

Coating-based restoration is a cost-effective alternative to replacement when the metal can still be reconstructed. Severely corroded areas are rebuilt first, then coated. The on-site inspection tells you whether your unit is a candidate.

How long will my unit be down?

Work is scheduled during a planned outage, and our quick-cure technology is designed for minimal downtime. We confirm the schedule with you as part of the estimate.

Where do you work?

On-site across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, Vermont and New York, including Boston metro, NYC and the five boroughs, Long Island and Westchester. Our office is at 8 Foundry Place, Franklin NH.

Can you respond to an emergency?

Yes. Work can be scheduled during a planned shutdown, or mobilized as emergency corrosion and leak repair when damage is found unexpectedly.
