What FRP Nozzle Repair and Modification Includes
Piping and valve layouts change. Nozzles wear, crack or weep. We handle that work in the field on tanks that are already in service, so you do not have to buy a new vessel to make a connection change.
Old FRP nozzles are removed and the existing entry ports are prepared. When you need a new or larger connection, we cut new ports in the tank body. New nozzles are pre-fabricated and installed as integrated units or as permeation assemblies with separation flanges, then laminated into the tank shell and the interior corrosion lining.

Can you repair a nozzle without taking the whole tank out of service?
Nozzle and port work is done in the field on tanks that are already installed. The scope of the outage depends on the nozzle location and stored product, which we confirm when we review your tank.
Can you move a nozzle to line up with new piping?
Yes. New nozzles can be positioned to align with existing piping. We remove the old nozzle, prepare or cut the port, then laminate the new nozzle into the shell and interior lining.
Will the repair hold up to my chemical?
Both nozzle materials and installation laminates are selected for the stored chemical and the anticipated operating temperature, using blended polyester, vinylester or epoxy resin systems.
