What we do for FRP chemical storage tanks
Fiberglass chemical tanks fail from the inside out. The interior corrosion barrier breaks down first, and the damage shows up as spidering, disbondment, abrasion wear, emulsification, low Barcol hardness or liquid migrating under the corrosion coat. Catch it early and the tank can be relined and put back in service for many more years.
We inspect the tank, report what we find, then build a new multi-layer corrosion barrier using resin and veil systems chosen for your product, concentration and operating temperature. Nozzle and manway changes can be done during the same outage.

Do you sell new FRP chemical storage tanks?
Our main work is repairing, relining and modifying tanks you already own. We also offer custom fabricated fiberglass tanks from our in-house fabrication shop, an offering we added in 2018. Tell us your application and we will quote the right option.
What does relining a chemical tank cost?
Pricing depends on tank size, the chemical stored, the condition of the corrosion barrier and site access, so we quote after an inspection. Relining is typically a fraction of the cost of a replacement vessel and avoids new tank lead times.
Can you reline a tank for a different chemical than it was built for?
Yes. We apply product-specific corrosion systems that let an in-place tank handle new chemistries or temperatures it was not originally specified for. The resin and veil system is matched to the chemical, concentration and operating temperature.
Do you travel to our plant?
Yes. Field crews work on-site in all 50 US states, including Hawaii and Puerto Rico, plus Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and select international locations.
Can the tank stay in place during the work?
Yes. Relining, nozzle changes and structural repairs are done in the field with the tank on its foundation. The tank is taken out of service and prepared, then inspected again after cure before it goes back into service.
