What we source in Cascais
Cascais is one of the Portuguese locations we cover, alongside Lisbon, Porto, the Algarve and the Silver Coast. We work with buyers in the United States and Europe who want property abroad but do not want to work out a foreign market on their own.
Pricing depends on the property, so we share figures per deal. Most of our buyers purchase in the $100,000 to $600,000 range, with higher-end trophy assets available on request.
- Luxury villas with private pool and gardens — 4 to 6 bedrooms, 250 to 600 sqm
- Penthouses with large private terraces — 2 to 4 bedrooms, 120 to 350 sqm
- Duplex apartments over two levels with internal staircase — 2 to 4 bedrooms, 100 to 250 sqm
- Luxury urban apartments in premium buildings — 1 to 3 bedrooms, 60 to 200 sqm
- Heritage townhouses in Cascais old town — 2 to 5 bedrooms, 100 to 350 sqm

Frequently asked questions
How much does property in Cascais cost?
Pricing is given per property on request. Most of our buyers purchase in the $100,000 to $600,000 range, and higher-end trophy assets can be sourced on request. Your shortlist will include pricing benchmarks for comparable properties.
Can Americans buy property in Cascais?
Yes. Foreign ownership is unrestricted in Portugal, and no residency or citizenship is required to buy. Properties are registered with the Conservatória do Registo Predial for full legal title protection.
Does buying a home in Cascais lead to a Golden Visa?
Portugal's Golden Visa is no longer available through a direct real estate purchase. A qualifying investment fund route (€500,000) still exists, and we can explain that pathway. You must take your own independent legal and tax advice.
Do you have a list of Cascais homes I can browse?
No. We are not a listing portal or MLS. Access is selective, and a lot of what we source is off-market or pre-launch through local developer and agent relationships. We share options after we understand your criteria.
How do buyers pay if they do not want a mortgage?
Buyers use cash, home equity (HELOC), developer payment plans or local financing. Alori does not lend or provide direct financing; we structure the deal and coordinate with the developer or local lender.
What costs continue after purchase?
Portugal charges IMI property tax based on the cadastral value, and apartment buildings have condominium charges under Portuguese condominium rules. Exact figures vary by property, so confirm them with your own tax adviser.
